    Full stack staff engineer in the Product Engineering department. I make projects succeed by balancing out the team's skill set. My teams at Carbon skewed frontend, so my work was ~70% backend and 30% frontend.Highlights:1. Connected Carbon's booking and appointment flows with a third party company that "rented" clinician time on-demand. Enabled Carbon to offer virtual care in states where the volume was too low to warrant keeping a full-time clinician on staff who was licensed in that state.2. Led engineering team that switched Carbon's phone systems from Dialpad to Talkdesk. Set up APIs so that Carbon customer support could see patient info based on the incoming phone number. Set up webhooks and AWS Lambdas to pull info from Talkdesk into Carbon's data warehouse so that data scientists could work on it.3. Led team which rebuilt the patient-facing booking flow, improving conversions and supporting "guest pay" without logging in.4. Replaced username/password login flow with one-time use email links and 6-digit SMS codes. This improved the conversion rate on returning patient appointment bookings by ~20%.5. Found & implemented a workaround for a years-old open issue with Kotlin compatibility in Netflix's GraphQL framework DGS.
