My notable career started at Toyota Motor Manufacturing (Burnaston Derbyshire) in April 1992, I commenced my employment as a production Team Leader and spent extensive time in Japan at the Tsutsumi plant and North America at the Kentucky plant my responsibilities were to develop the process' to include deliver of training concepts for the 1st wave of employees in what was a greenfield site, I progressed through the supervisory structure taking lead in multiple functions where I exceeded in delivery of all KPI's, I later transferred to Toyotas pilot area where I project lead for X2 Avensis & X2 Corolla model introductions developing and standardising systems that would efficiently and effectively support introduction, The developed methodologies and systems are still in place today - this role involved multiple overseas trips to Japan and Toyotas main design centre time totalling in excess of 18 months over a 5 year period From Pilot I had responsibility for all assembly areas which included the offline area, again in each area all KPI targets met through application of Toyota Way philosophy, lean methodology approach with a constant goal of direct reports development being a pre-requisite From assembly I rotated to look at other areas with in TMUK starting with the paint and plastics division as the plastics shop production manager responsible for total production from raw material to finished product with a continuation of excellent results through lean approach and kaizen application and critically maintaining focus on coaching to ensure organisational developmentA further rotation and promotion (Senior Manager) to the Production Control division gave me responsibility for internal logistics total part movement, and later total packaging development and external logistics and in house materials procurement, again lean application and kaizen through TPS principals gave good results.My current role is on a secondment to Toyota Motor Europe (TME) after sales and service parts, having responsibility for 2 depots servicing the whole of the UK and the Irish republic with a goal of output improvement through internal resource development. I remain always lean thinking and kaizen orientated with organisational development my focus to create stand alone confidence.I am a TBP problem solving coach, mentor and audit panellist I am a trained management coach with a desire to support organisational development and recognise that team development through clear and concise coaching is essential for organisational growth
