● Consult non-profit organizations on mentoring programs and leadership development.● Develop training for mentor programs and collaborate in the development of mentors/leaders.● Build and maintain relationships with businesses, job training programs and colleges, and scholarship organizations to connect mentees to job, training, and education opportunities.● Connect organizations, businesses, schools, and churches together to create partnerships for new opportunities for mentors and mentees, families, and the community in their pursuit of life change and growth.● Provide ongoing coaching/support for mentors of at-risk youth and young adults.

As the program director, I served on the Leadership Team and the Board as part of the Program Committee charged with the leadership and development of the staff. To do this, I managed staff of 7 direct reports and 3 indirect reports. This also required me to direct and oversee execution of annual strategic planning and budgeting process. My focus was on developing and managing the program staff as they recruited, trained, and supported volunteers in their mentorship of at-risk teenagers. I provided oversight to the development of the programs in multiple schools throughout Chicago and other organizations in the US. I reported the results on these initiatives to the Executive Director regularly. To support the programs, I also maintained a consistent donor base by cultivating relationships that provided financial support to execute the youth programs. A few of my achievements in this role include:● Planning and executing 2 annual weekend volunteer retreats with approximately 80 to 100 attendees designed to engage leadership and equip volunteer mentors while also building support within the team.● Recruiting, training, and managing the staff that led over 150 volunteers annually that is comprised of approximately 130 volunteer mentors who volunteered twice a week. ● Collaborated with community partners including churches, businesses, and colleges to recruit volunteer youth mentors.● Developed and presented over 10 trainings annually and equipped and supported volunteers through monthly meetings and communication. ● Helped grow the youth internship program that culminated in the placement of 9 recent high school graduates at various small businesses for a short term internships.● Executed the mentoring program in collaboration with non-profits from throughout the US that led to youth mentorship across organizations of about 5 people annually. ● Directed the summer basketball league that saw competition among 20 plus different non-profit teams.

As an area leader, church planter, and youth pastor, I helped lead the fundraising efforts to assist the launch of the organization in the area. To do this, I partnered with my colleagues to execute the daily operations of the organization within Chicago. This included leading regular retreats while also developing ongoing content and programming for youth, men, and women. I was also responsible for preparing the board materials and led quarterly meetings that were conducted remotely or in person depending on the specific organizational needs.Some of my key results in this role include:• Recruited, trained, and managed over 10 – 15 volunteers weekly to assist in the execution of the program and community events. • Raised funds for salaries for the non-profit from donors across 6 states.• Served as co-leader to launch and execute a local church with responsibility to lead the logistics and relationships related to vision, finance, logistics, and discipleship. • Coordinated an average of 2-3 events weekly with responsibility for developing and delivering training or content to youth and adult attendees.
