Working as a design engineer/thermal analyst in the Mechanical Engineering Directorate.Redesign of cooling manifold in radar array system to meet environmental and thermal requirements while collaborating with fabrication and coating vendors. Perform IV&V testing of PDM 5.0 system for release into company-wide usage. Update large-scale production program documentation under tight schedule for manufacturing support. Design, create drawings, coordinate with vendors and perform fit-checking of test fixtures for thermal management experiment. Create experimental test matrix, interface with hydraulic lab and conduct experiments for testing of next generation thermal management solutions for military electronics. Data acquisition of experimental data and post processing of data to cross reference with analytical predictions. Design, create drawings and interface with Electrical Design Directorate for a radar test stand for a lowest replaceable unit from a large radar array.

Processed development and design of large-scale silicon carbide, advanced actuated, hybrid, active mirrors. Job responsibilities included developing integration procedures and drawings, performing analyses necessary towards optimizing optical figure, developing CNC code for operating a Class IV laser required for manufacturing and designing and developing detailed drawings of both deliverable sub-components that meet flight hardware specifications and ground support equipment. From a programmatic standpoint, responsibilities involved briefing the customer on manufacturing readiness and accomplishing assigned tasks accurately while meeting budget and schedule constraints.

Specifically, I studied product quality issues in a manufacturing process and explored the financial impact of quality and recommended corrective actions in that process. I also designed a sliding, locking device for a computer hard drive company and designed and performed stress experiments with adhesives on various substrates. Finally, I researched, designed, prototyped and analyzed a refrigerant cooled system for a PC microprocessor where I was the project lead.
