Managing business development and sales for the OmniTera Software operations in UK.

As Program Manager for “ValueEdge (https://www.microfocus.com/en-us/valueedge) I was tasked with program managing the flagship Value Stream Management SaaS platform within the Application Delivery Management (ADM) group of Micro Focus. Key parts to the role were Program Mgt, Stakeholder Mgt and Thought Leadership. Reporting to the ADM Chief of Staff, I worked closely with Product Managers, Dev Dirs, Project Managers and Product Owners (including development of Release Timelines and Product Roadmaps) and provided Release RAG reporting across all functions (within our “Product2Market” tool that provides a standardized way to assure necessary governance/compliance/stakeholder input). I reported against deliverable Epics (that comprised features to meet the Minimal Viable Product (MVP)), risks/issues and provided VSM/agile coaching as necessary.We successfully released the first version of ValueEdge in March 2022 and this was then followed by further releases in October and March 2023. I was key to driving the cadence towards our target of 90 day releases.ValueEdge comprises of several products within the ADM portfolio combined with specific SaaS services• ALM Octane - On-Prem and SaaS based Agile and Quality management product (approx 100 Developers and QA based in Israel and Ukraine)• Connect - hosted (SaaS) middleware XML-based connectivity product (approx 30 Developers and QA based in US, Ukraine and Bulgaria)• Strategic Portfolio Mgt - SaaS based product (30 Dev and QA based in China)• Functional Test - SaaS based services being developed by approx 20 Dev and QA based in Israel)• Performance Test - SaaS based product (LoadRunner Cloud) developed by the LoadRunner team (based in Israel).

From 2012 to 2021 I was Project Manager for several products including• AccuRev – SCCM/groupware/configuration mgt• Caliber – requirements management• Connect - hosted (SaaS) middleware XML-based connectivity• Silk Test, Silk Performer and Silk Central – automated test/performance• StarTeam – SCCM/groupware/configuration mgtSince 2013 I was also involved in three key initiatives -• Company migration – following merger in 2018 I was part of a multiple disciplinary team that worked on bringing our business systems and processes closer together so that our data and processes were fit for purpose.• Cloud/SaaS – integration of our Cloud Portal services with the standard functions within the company. This impacted Customer Care, Business Systems and Finance and was a major shift in process from product/license to a hosted subscription model.• Agile Project/Portfolio Management – working with a geographically dispersed team. I provided Agile coaching and also input into our Agile products from an Agile Portfolio Management perspective.From August 2008 to November 2011 I was Project Manager for a flagship modernisation and mainframe migration product suite that delivered features across a range of Micro Focus products covering development, test and deployment for a range of Windows and Linux/UNIX platforms. I worked closely with the development teams (approx 80 developers across 10-12 geographically dispersed teams) to understand the required scope/payload (story point estimates), risks/issues and in an agile coaching capacity.

Elsevier are a well-known Science and Medical publisher, part of the Reed-Elsevier group, with publications including The Lancet. I was line manager of a team of 6-8 Technical Specialists - technical leads who each had their own outsourced teamsranging between 4-10 in size split between London and Delhi. Agile work was carried out within the “Elsevier Agile Development Process” (EADP) framework that advocates - dedicated roles, iterative cycles, story writing, pair-programming, test driven development and feedback/retrospectives.

CSW were a start-up company that developed web-based products for several markets, including Healthcare and New Media Publishing. I was initially employed as Product Development Manager to develop our products and manage their customisation and implementation for several customers, including the NHS. In 2004 I was promoted to Programme Development Manager as the company grew from 40 to approx 150 employees and we partnered with larger companies working on NHS modernisation programmes. I was line manager to the product development team which at its height comprised of 25 developers liaising with other staff (analysts/authors) as necessary.
