Responsible for the timely turnaround of aircraft, including supervision of loading both passengers and baggage and fuelling. This role also required the completion of all required documentation and load sheets for each aircraft under my supervision. Liaison with other airport departments was essential to ensure smooth operations, and as the dispatcher I served as the point of contact between the aircraft itself, ground staff, the airline operations centre and air traffic control.The achievement of these tasks was often within time constraints that placed significant pressure upon all involved with the turnaround, and therefore placed emphasis on both teamwork along with individual efforts. The ability to remain calm under significant pressure was a vital attribute to possess in order to fulfil this role.
