During the last three years we developed and launched the Quebec Convenience Stores Association (QCSA) and the Atlantic Convenience Stores Association (ACSA) and set the wheels in motion for the CCSA to address the national issues our industry faces.C store Life magazine is now the best convenience industry publication where educating employees and engaging the retailers coast to coast has only just started and our stakeholders should be excited to be given the opportunity to reach over 23,000 stores coast to coast directly. We engaged the federal government on the many serious issues we face and more importantly stood up for our regional rights in most markets with the understanding that four strong regions would make a healthy and viable future.My passion has always been that we will defend our rights to sell any/all legal government approved products in a safe and secure environment. I am determined to make our channel the most respected in the areas of ’responsible community retailing’ and I believe we are well on our way. You can rest assured that the Ontario Convenience Stores Association is where my heart has always been and the OCSA has developed and grown over the years thanks to the strong government/media relations we have built and the dialogue we have been able to engage the media, local politicians the future governments in this province.I thank everyone for their ongoing support (and there are just way too many people and companies to mention) and I can guarantee you that if you hang your hat with the OCSA, this organization will continue to demonstrate leadership, passion and commitment to your companies, your products and your issues.
