The role primarily involved the development and modification of a browser based accountancy, invoicing, timesheet, and payroll system with an ASP.NET MVC front end and a mixed .NET WCF and Web API back end that utilised a SQL Server database via NHibernate. Most modifications were requested by a client; some were porting features from an old Silverlight-based front-end. Additionally, the role included assisting the QA team with their testing, in order to ensure that a scheduled release deadline is met.

The main focus was development of a browser-based vehicle telematics reporting system implemented in Silverlight, with a SQL Server back-end and a Windows service written in C#. Additionally, there was development of a Windows CE-based touchscreen device that resided in a lorry cab that the driver could use as a phone and messaging system.
