Working to establish a community/faith/union alliance in greater Brisbane, to develop relationships between the organisations where our community takes shape. Ultimately, the plan is build power of Brisbane citizens to work the common good and hold our leaders to account.

My achievements included:• Establishing a national network of contacts to document political activity, government corruption and human rights abuses;• Coordinating the documentation of human rights abuses against MDC members and activists, including creating a database of reports of corruption… Show more In this position I worked closely with a team of pro-democracy and human rights activists coordinated by Roy Bennett MP, the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) Member of Parliament, Zimbabwe. My achievements included:• Establishing a national network of contacts to document political activity, government corruption and human rights abuses;• Coordinating the documentation of human rights abuses against MDC members and activists, including creating a database of reports of corruption and human rights abuse;• Briefing lawyers to take legal action against human rights abusers;• Managing three staff members who were all direct reports (media officer, education officer and photographer/video camera person);• Researching and filming documentaries for Carte Blanche and numerous stories for international media institutions, including the BBC;• Providing strategic advice on campaigning to civic organisations (including Civic Support North, ZCDT, Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights and Justice for Agriculture) and the MDC.
