Couper Construction is a second generation family owned construction company that has been in the construction industry for over 48 years. We specialize in house raising and foundations. House raising involves the process of separating a house from its foundation and temporarily raising it to build underneath. Depending on the structure itself and the purpose of raising the house, it could be raised as low as 6 inches or more than 12 feet. The process is not just limited to homes, but also used for commercial buildings, cottages, barns, detached garages, and other types of buildings. This allows the homeowner to double their square footage for a fraction of the cost of an addition. We are located in Simcoe County, Ontario Canada. A few reasons why one might raise their home would be to create an income property via AirBnB or rent out an apartment, have more space for a growing family, or their lot size might be too small to build an addition, and to generate equity in their home.
