Similar to previous Leadman and Repairman positions but now involves more extensive computer skills invoving Maximo, Fieldmanager, My Time programs working with Centralized Dispatching to run services, take care of short notice customer complaints, emergency switching, shutdowns and inspections that involve a Two Journeyman Crew.

Gresham Line Center

Responsible for being the first responder to investigate misc power outages and control hazardous situations regarding public safety. Calls for the appropriate help and can restore power in some situations. Must have computer skills to manage e-mail, Outage Management Systems, and Streetlight Management Systems. Performed 3 other temp assignments in Oregon City and Gresham at this position also since 1993.

Gresham Line Center

Supervised a 3 or more person line crew. Was responsible for the safe and efficient construction, maintenance, and repair or troubleshooting of transmission and distribution power systems and structures. Worked a variety of projects involving 500,000 volt transmission lines all the way to 2400 volt primary systems and some Overhead to Underground conversions at PGE. Worked a lot of overtime over the years investigating power outages and storm work for PGE, Pacific Power and Puget Power.

Portland General Electric, Various Locations

Very active in representing the Union in various locations and groups to help keep a good productive and safe work environment for at least 25 years.

Portland Service Center

Responsible for leading a two man line crew. Jobs include running electric services, troubleshooting power outages, switching, investigating customers' service calls and complaints.

Portland And Oregon City Service Centers

Changed career to the Powerline side of the business and worked my way up from Groundman position to Journeyman Lineman.

Operated various heavy machinery and fuel loading equipment at a coal fired power plant. Also performed various temporary maintenance or operating assignments at PGE's Trojan nuclear facility and Beaver generation station.
