After being approached with investment to set up a business to distribute Blaupunkt brand power tools online in the UK, I have spent the last 6 years managing all aspects of a multi-channel ecommerce and fulfilment business alongside my partner. In addition to my UK work I have also assisted in the set up of a similar operation based in Portugal and distributing to most EU countries.Areas covered include Marketing, SEO, Content, Photography, Data Feeds, Integrations, Web Design, Fulfilment and much more. Selling via sales channels like Amazon FBA + Seller Fulfilled Prime, eBay, OnBuy, ManoMano, Fruugo, Ideal World TV as well as a Web Store built using Shopify - Marlin UK was built to be a fast and lean operation maximising the use of automation enabling us to be competitive in an ever more crowded market.

Andrew James was an 'HSBC SME of the Year Award' winning eCommerce business that experienced huge growth to become one of the best known brands on Amazon.After joining the company I drove the concept and implementation of a new company web-store, logo, branding and packaging as well the development of our OMS.Overseeing a team consisting of web designers, developers, content writers and graphics designers we completely reinvigorated the brand's web presence on Amazon, eBay and online sales channels using automation to deliver significant year on year growth efficiently.The next major project worked on was the design, installation and implementation of a full warehouse system including WMS, conveyors, racking, voice picking, barcoding, shipping packaging, packaging machinery, label printing, wireless networking and many other aspects - again making use of automation to manage the increased company growth without the need to scale up the warehouse staff proportionately.Using the experience gained from my first project I followed on from the upgrade of our original warehouse to the design of the next, at the companies new 130,000sq. ft. property. Incorporating all of the latest technology from Semi-Automated manned VNA trucks, fully automated conveyor and packaging systems and much more, enabling 10,000 orders to be picked per day.
