I started my teaching career through a series of maternity covers and one-term placements until landing a permanent job at Todmorden High School in June of 2013. Since then, I have gone on to (finally) complete my final term of NQT, passing in December of 2013 and to teach Geography, History and Religious Studies up to A-Level. I take my own professional development seriously, and while Geography is my passion, I have assisted another member of staff at Todmorden High with re-developing the Religious Studies curriculum over the past 12 months. This is something I am excited to implement in the coming academic year.Since leaving Todmorden (April 2015), I have been at Grange Technology College and back to teaching my subject specialism of Geography. I have recently been appointed as Associate Lead Teacher of Geography at Rastrick High School, due to start in January 2017.An experienced Geography teacher with 10 years experience in the classroom teaching across KS3-5. Over this period I have led departments in teaching and learning as well as taking on whole school leadership responsibilities, pioneered the use of technology in the classroom and developed and led NQT and ITT programmes.
Listed skills include Teaching, Research, Classroom, Geography, and 8 others.
