Meanwhile, I have learned a lot about data consistency and management through the use of Salesforce. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this job and how much it helped me get to where I am today!

• Analyzed the ticket revenue for the 2017-18 regular season games of the Utah Jazz by performing tests of significance and clustering analysis to verify the company’s assigned game ratings were effective.• Created a ticket revenue projection model in R for the company to be used with additional game data points and conducted regression analysis to find variables that were statistically significant in impacting ticket revenue. • Devised SQL queries on Teradata to pull revenue and Jazz game data into tables to be used for analysis in R and Microsoft Excel, leading to the creation of data visuals on Tableau to highlight impactful factors.This is another working experience I received through the University of Utah. I worked with three other students for the MSIS Capstone project to analyze data and to generate some insights for ticket revenue for Utah Jazz games. Although I did learn a lot in regards to working with data, I especially learned a lot on the soft skills side as well. I always knew communication was an important skill to have, but this experience showed how truly essential it was to keep a project going. This was a first time experience for the Sports & Entertainment side for Larry H. Miller, so we both encountered many access issues among other technical problems. As a result, my communication skills grew even further with the need to stay connected with my group, with the sponsors, and with my Capstone instructor.

• Managed creation and auditing of customer records in CRM system to ensure expedited renewals, accurate product purchase records, and updated pricing.• Developed an internal website for the Sales Operations department to collect all contract templates, shared datasets, and pertinent information for use across company to eliminate the need for e-mail requests for documents.• Analyzed, audited, and normalized 200+ school district contracts and synthesized into one master spreadsheet, removing the uncertainty about which product modules clients had in use.• Created logos and graphics with Adobe Photoshop to be used in department and company-wide digital resources.This summer internship was a valuable one where I was able to experience things like I wasn't a student. To elaborate, I didn't feel like I was a mere student at job like every past experience; I felt like a full-fledged employee working practically full-time. The company had recently merged with TrueNorthLogic, so there was a handful of school contract details that needed to be straightened out. I worked closely with the Sales Operations department, which led to me putting together a website for it via Google Sites. I was gladly able to put my Photoshop experience to use here and enhance the aesthetics of the site even further than whatever default images Google provided.

• Identified bottlenecks and redundancies within the process flow for the volunteer recruitment process and provided research and recommendations for resolving those issues.• Arranged interviews with other Big Brothers Big Sisters throughout the nation to gather data to analyze for the improvement of the Utah branch.I received this internship experience through my OIS 5850 class (Operations in Practice). I was assigned to Big Brothers Big Sisters Utah along with three other classmates. The main objective we were given was to improve the yield rate of applicants of volunteers. Essentially, we came in each week and either organized meetings to learn more about the business or we conducted our own means of exploration to detect bottlenecks within the process. This all built up to a final presentation at the end of semester, which also resulted in a 20+ page document with our analyses and recommendations.

• Audited and updated data for Medicaid and Medicare incentive programs, Meaningful Use and E-Prescribing, to confirm that accurate payments were being made to providers.• Contacted over 100 providers to update the external provider database list for same incentive programs.• Prepared and reviewed about 30 checks and health insurance forms to be mailed out on a regular basis.I will admit I was extremely fortunate to receive this job. My older sister worked there when I was still at Wendy's. Around that time, she inherited the Medicaid and Medicare projects and found out that the paperwork and records were a mess. She then asked me if I wanted to help clean this mess up. I agreed. I went into the project expecting the whole thing to last only six weeks since that was all that was needed to clean everything up. Upon completion though, I received an offer to stay and help out with other projects throughout the building. I gladly accepted and I somehow stayed another two years bouncing around doing projects for different departments there.

• Coordinated ~140 orders daily for the drive-through to ensure customers received correct orders. • Developed strong customer relationship skills by greeting and recommending cost-efficient menu combinations to encourage return business. This was my first paid job. Although people likely scoff all the time about these type of jobs, my experience there was incredibly valuable for developing certain skills I wasn't particularly great at from when I started. Most notably, my ability to interact with strangers and my customer service skills improved drastically. A funny thing I like to share was that I was thrown into the deep end for one of my first shifts. What I mean by that is that they forgot to train me in regards to how to use the register and then they assigned me to one for the first time during a lunch rush. Safe to say, I struggled mightily that day. On the bright side, I definitely learned how to use the register once that day was over.

• Blogged articles for the Granite School District website.• Scheduled and conducted interviews and attended extracurricular events to gather information for articles.This was an internship I scored when I started my senior year in high school at Skyline. Being an editor, I dedicated a lot of time to my Journalism class. Due to that, I was fortunate enough to receive the opportunity to write for the Granite School District. That was especially fortunate since that was the first year the school district decided to try something like that. They ended up taking two to four students from various schools throughout the district and had each us of write either one or two articles per month with the topic being news/event related or a personal blog entry about how we felt about something.
