Master's student at the University of St Andrews, focusing on early 20th century German history of technology, infrastructure, and architecture. For this course, I have brought together and refined language and analytical skills from my undergraduate degrees, especially my German reading and translation abilities. My dissertation focus is the Deutscher Werkbund, an alliance of artists, architects, and industrialists, during the late years of the Weimar Republic and their conceptualisations of quality and tradition versus mechanisation and modernity. After completing this work, I intend to work in the museum or archives sectors to assist others with their own research projects.
