About Dave Dewey

I am a senior-level technical professional with experience in program and project management, software development, application implementation and lifecycle management, system analysis, design and testing, and Internet technologies. I am a natural leader with excellent communication skills and technical depth from my engineering background. I have the proven ability to solve complex problems, manage diverse teams and enable people to accomplish difficult tasks. I enjoy creating strategy, processes and solutions that align with organizational objectives and that enhance relationships with internal and external customers. I am very good at adapting management style and development methodologies to match the size and scope of the program, project or problem. I have almost twenty years of experience in healthcare IT, all at San Diego's two local integrated healthcare providers. I entered healthcare as a web developer, and moved up through senior positions and became manager of a very active web development team. I then leveraged that experience as an IT project manager, mostly running application implementations. Prior to my focus in healthcare, I worked as a software engineer and program manager at Qualcomm and was a weapons test engineer and project manager for the US Navy.
