Dave Emanuel is a career Fire Chief in Durham New Hampshire. He has served in leadership positions in professional firefighter, officer, and volunteer fire department organizations for over thirty years. He is professionally credentialed as a Chief Fire Officer by the Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE), a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program, holds Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Civil Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of New Hampshire. He is also an instructor for the NH Fire Academy, and is a nationally recognized leadership speaker. Dave has served on the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Bullying, Harassment, and Workplace Violence Prevention Workgroup since 2017, chairing the training sub-group of the program since its inception. Dave is an energetic leader who incorporates a positive attitude and energy into his activities and perspective everyday, working hard to bring both peers and organizations to a higher level. As a motivated, driven team player who gains synergy from the different aspects of his life and professional careers. Dave offers diverse background of education, training, and professional experience in the fields of fire, EMS, emergency management, labor, management, and civil engineering as well as being a creative problem solver and leader.
