Dave Evans is a Senior Aquatic Specialist with over 25 years of experience in fisheries work as a consultant and regulator. He has extensive experience conducting, overseeing and reviewing fish habitat and inventory studies in western Canada and has also conducted aquatic studies in the Pacific Northwest and northern Canada. He has directed and led baseline fisheries related data collection, construction monitoring, fish salvage and post construction monitoring programs (both compliance and effectiveness monitoring) on various linear developments, bank restoration programs and infrastructure projects. Dave has also completed fish movement studies on burbot, lake sturgeon and various salmonid species using radio-telemetry and pit tagging.Dave has served on numerous working groups and steering committees providing technical and regulatory advice to government, transportation, oil and gas as well as hydroelectric industry representatives. Dave also has project management experience related to linear development and construction projects. He is familiar with both the technical and legislative aspects of aquatics work in Alberta and BC.
