Greetings, In the end, I help implement solutions that allow others do their job more efficiently. A little while back, my group ( larger than just IT ) flew into Chicago, we were talking about the various 'business units' within the company, the work they do and 'wheels in the machinery'. I act as the grease. While I am not doing what they do, without some grease things get squeaky. To help 'ease-the-squeak' I need to understand what they do, why they do things the particular way the do, what their overall goals are and how what they do affects people both upstream and downstream. Solutions I have helped implement range from building new software, to modification of workflow, to recommendation of purchase of off-the-shelf software. I have been working and thinking at the enterprise level all of my career, about how a change here will affect things over there. I have been the account admin for the Kantata (formerly MavenLink) implementation. While typical administration tasks are handled, there is also support Finance, Accounting, Project Managers and people just entering time, sometimes writing a program using the API. There is a constant focus of improving workflow process and providing Business Intelligence information.I created an enterprise-level cloud application (Kiwi) for use in population pharmacokinetic / pharmacodynamic analysis for scientists and their data managers around the world. Kiwi is designed to increase both scientist and non-scientist productivity and help reduce time to project completion. This uses the Sencha Javascript framework, PHP, Oracle, R, Slim framework, shell scripts, etc. It includes scientific, data management & administrative workflow analysis, which helps identify critical path of modeling and data assembly (ETL) activity , statistical model evolution and plot generation, targeting client presentations and validation documentation. Involved with 21 CFR part 11 implementation and compliance, (not directly involved with audits)Involved with SOX implementation and compliance, (directly involved with audits)Guest lectured on the DBA specialties at post high school level.In the distant past, created systems allowing EFT transactions at grocery stores. This was lane to store controller to corporate host to appropriate authorizing agency solution. Our code dealt with many transactions per second simultaneously. One client used satellite communications at about 100 stores, that was fun.
