I have 30 years experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer with 20 yrs working in the Military supplier industry with a DoD "Confidential" security clearance.- I am a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience in tooling and fixturing design through manufacture and into production use.- I also have experience with product design. I would like to expand into this area more.- Currently I am a Lead Laser Welding Engineer in charge of 4 Nd-YAG lasers, using Lasag SLS series 200w and 400w fiber optic laser welders for production welding.- G-code programming proficient for lasers.- Proficient and skilled with Advanced Solidworks 3D and also AutoCAD.- I work well in a team environment but tend to like to take on tasks and complete them on my own. - Background includes Electronics manufacturing, optical test equipment design, tooling and fixture design.- Moderate skills in Microsoft Excel, and Word. Also some basic Powerpoint use.- Sharp H1118 Toolroom lathe (Hardinge style) trained and experienced.- Associate's degree in Computer Aided Mechanical Design Engineering.
