I developed all of firm’s general ledger interfaces to 10+ unique prime-broker data sources utilizing Visual Basic, DTS packages and MS SQL Server which gave me an in-depth understanding of the general ledger rules and key data. For daily regulatory haircut charge calculations, I integrated Ronin's prime-broker data mart with third-party software (Dash RBH and PC SPAN) and imported the results back into the database for further tracking and analysis. Additionally, I automated accounting and finance reconciliations including interest, short-stock rebates, commissions, brokerage, trades and positions. Designed, built and administered all MS SQL databases for entire accounting and finance department. Hired, supervised and mentored eventual replacement. Development migrated from Visual Basic to C# overtime.

I designed and developed reconciliation and financial reporting tools across the wholesale bank utilizing MS SQL Server, MS Access and Visual Basic including an OTC derivative amortization/accretion engine.Other responsibilities entailed maintaining and enhancing an internal website utilizing HTML, Javascript, CSS, and DCOM components. Additionally, I built a Visual Basic application incorporating non-linear programming for optimizing constituent loans in CLOs. While at ABN, I mentored three junior developers and reviewed their work product for quality and coding standards.

I was the technical lead, supervising two junior developers, on a global lines-of-business reporting application. This was developed primarily with MS SQL Server with a MS Access front end. Additionally, I maintained and enhanced a comprehensive reporting tool that distributed quantitative and qualitative results for executive review using MS Access. Prior to those projects, I performed general ledger and account reconciliations for client accounting.
