Direct report to Board of County Commissioners in fulfilling Department's mission to recruit target industry and skilled jobs to the county in order to diversify the local economy and tax base. 2019 accomplishments:- Created environment to more than double the commerical/industrial tax base at the airport business park.- Envisioned and received approval for Mixed-Use Zoning Ordinance giving new life to a dying retail strip center.- Awarded $1.7 million Jobs Growth Grant Fund to create venue for an Aviation Airframe & Powerplant Mechanics (A&P) certification school to train high-skilled aircraft mechanics.- Sourced regional Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) operation that upon completion will create several hundred high-paying jobs & re-position local airport into a nationally significant aviation destination.- Led office, represent department/county at numerous speaking engagements, and active board member on numerous business organizations & chambers.

Recruited new businesses/industry to Charlotte County.

Started Freedom Boat Club franchise location for Palm Beach County.

Developed new markets and sourced investment opportunities throughout the country. Acquired over $100 million in properties including traditional products like office, industrial, retail, and apartments plus non-traditional products like land, fixed-base operations, marinas, radio/cell transmission towers.

Conceived, funded and launched concept to develop/construct/operate privately-funded, 45,000 square foot, public recreation complex.
