Battery Systems Integration: Responsible for launching the first production Lithium ion electric vehicle battery pack designed and assembled in the United States. Responsible for Lithium ion battery pack design and development for automotive and mass transit applications. Direct mechanical system design that meets both internal and customer requirements.

Ten patents awarded and one additional patent applications submitted and under review. Worked on advanced development projects for new products. Developed a compact, air-cooled induction heating system for non-contact soldering that provides process feedback control and is easily automated. Primary designer for the entire corporation of an integrated.

Involved with advanced development projects that incorporated new materials, designs, and processes that improved acoustic and environmental performance as well as reduced manufacturing costs of loudspeakers. Developed two innovative product families for high frequency loudspeakers.

Completed a development project to integrate two purchased components and vertically integrate the automated manufacture of sub-assemblies using the integrated component. The project is now in high volume production after successfully completing the concept, prototype, and pilot work in all areas related to material selection, parts design using.

Supervised the integration and validation of automated assembly equipment for anti-lock brake system sub-assemblies. The equipment was assembled and debugged in Belgium. The equipment was taken apart and shipped to a North Carolina production facility and operators and maintenance personnel were trained on the equipment. Completed the initial integration.

Integrated robotic assembly cells. Continued to optimize the assembly systems by reducing cycle times, error occurrences, and determined root cause of rejects. Completed technical research for the development of fully automated assembly systems.
