Provided responsible leadership for the community and economic development efforts of a City of approx. 25,000 population to flourish into a livable, lovable and vibrant sense of place along the Mississippi River. Heavily worked to revive, tap into and enhance the economic strength and entrepreneurial spirit that has dwelled here for 3 centuries. Resulting in nearly $1 BILLION in investments.Redefined the role of the Department to include housing development, airport management, planning & zoning, historic preservation, building services, code enforcement, quality of life enhancements, economic development, recreational and educational development for the community. The result is realizing over $1B in completed reinvestment into the City from expansion and renovation projects over the last 4 years… there is currently another $250M in active reinvestment.Current large-scale projects include; initiating an intermodal container port on the Mississippi River, community trail development, and implementing a housing market demand study recommendations as well as involvement or leadership in developing several public-private partnerships with the City.

Past assignments include turning around a commercial airport (only one of two in NH) and initiating an economic development effort for the City of Lebanon, NH. Services include providing coordinated processing equipment, transportation, recovery (for re-use) and final disposal of treated waste-water in the oil & gas, food & beverage, desalinization and other tertiary industries.

Headwater develops, markets and sells (capital equipment and service contracts) mid to large scale water treatment systems utilizing vapor compression distillation. Current market focus is in produced water (Western U.S. (coal bed methane) and Eastern U.S. (Marcellus Shale natural gas)). Customers include gas producers (distributed sites) and disposal facilities.

After 2.5 years as the Interim Airport Manger, the "Emeritis" title was given me by the City Council for the satisfactory completion of turning around the City of Lebanon NH's commercial airport... only one of two commercial airports in the state. Initially we focused on financial & operational concerns for the City, but the scope of work turned to discovering & correcting nearly 50 years of delinquent property management records and transfers. As a result we found, saved or brought over $100MM of value to the City over the next 20 years given the upgrade to a Class III commercial airport, planning & funding of the shift & extension of up to a 7K foot runway, correction of land owned & discovered under an existing interstate & shopping plaza, etc., the planning of railing vs. selling locally, the mineral value of a runway safety obstacle of a hill once mined and the recapture of several hundred acres of property for future industrial development in lieu of locking it up via an environmental conservation easement forever.

Honored to be the first Economic Development Director in the City of Lebanon's history. In an attempt to bring order to what we discovered as a pent-up demand, this position was wildly successful. I had the privilege of counseling and guiding local business and real-estate growth in the City of Lebanon, NH. We found that this was an important role for the local economy by retaining companies in the area and keeping unemployment under 2% in the labor market while being responsible for bringing over $250 million in property improvements to the grand list of the City under my tenure.

As the Vice-President & Chief Operating Officer, I was responsible for finding grant funding, organizing, cataloging and commercializing innovations and technology. I was considered by most in the research industry, for example the National Science Foundation, as the "invention-to-invoice" guy. I successfully assisted SII's spin-off of both Simbex, LLC. and NanoComp, Inc. as well as several other technology companies during term. I currently serve on SII's Board of Directors.

Responsible for the strategic geographic growth from 2 to 7 operating terminals and a fleet of 2,500 trucks and 3,000 commercial vehicle operators in three New England states. Strategically created additional operating capacity for higher asset utilization by installing 24-hour scheduling logistics, collection, maintenance and transfer operations.A key member of the management team engaged in nearly 100 acquisitions and the final stages of the Company's successful $50.2M initial public offering on NASDAQ and $41.3M secondary offering. Established business strategies, exceeded a 35% shareholder growth objective and earnings per share. This required a balanced organic and acquisitive growth with internalization.
