I managed the day to day operations at the Hermitage location from July to late December when the shop was closed, I also did assembly and repair work at the shop.

My job was to provide graphic arts support to commanders for briefing presentations, wall graphics, print graphics, in all mediums. As such I was responsible for day to day operations in the work center and provided printing and graphic services to the ships company, embarked staff, and Marines. I also volunteered to serve as the Assistant SAFETY Officer for the ship and became qualified to work on the flight deck as part of the Combat Cargo loading team, where we were tasked with safely loading and unloading CH-46 and CH-53 helicopters with Marines and gear for amphibious operations. Sacramento, California Area

After 8 years of active duty I left the Navy and joined the Naval Reserve, I was assigned to a Weapons Handling Detachment out of Sacramento, Ca., that drilled at the Concord Naval Weapons Station. I served as the PAO officer during my tenure and primarily documented the detachments drill weekends in print and photography.

I worked as part of a TEAM of videographers and in the Engineering Dept tasked with documenting the de-fueling, fueling, movement and placement of fissionable nuclear materials in the Primary Containment Building and the Spent Fuel Farm. For these evolutions we used highly specialized video cameras and equipment specifically designed for the nuclear power industry
