About Dave Greber
I am an artist, educator, consultant, and web designer, based in Baltimore, MD. My technical background began with video production in high school and expanded to a career as a jack-of-all-trades, a/v problem-solver over the past 20 years. I’ve worked primarily in the contemporary art world collaborating with artists, students and institutions to manifest complex ideas with moving image and sound. As an artist, I create experiences situated for the gallery, museum, and blockchain- utilizing digital media, sculptural installation, and social/environmental interventions. My work has been featured at Crystal Bridges, the Whitney Museum of American Art, C24 Gallery, Sculpture Month Houston, and solo exhibits at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art and the Arthur Roger Gallery. My largest scale project was a commission by the MTA Arts and Design to create a 52-channel, synced video installation, which played throughout the Fulton Center Transportation Hub, in Lower Manhattan.I’ve participated in many studio residencies including ones in Norway, Russia, Estonia, and with Scandy, an app-developer in New Orleans. Most recently, I was participating in A Structure Envisioned for Changing Circumstances, program featuring writers, artists and curators in Latvia, Norway and the United States.Although I consider myself a “tech guy,” you can probably find me outdoors in my free time. Occasionally, I will embark on a crazy endurance adventure like thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail, riding a bike from Philadelphia to New Orleans, or trekking the Jūrtaka, the coastal trail along the Baltic Sea.
