After 2 years in the training program, I was promoted to branch manager for the Tyler, Tx office. I managed the office in Tyler for 8 years.As a branch manager I was responsible for the branch's business development through retail credit applications from local retail vendors (e.g. furniture stores) as well as direct mail and phone solicitation of the branch's current customers. Was responsible for decisioning of all credit applications generated within the branch in accordance with the company's credit standards. Additionally, was responsible for all collection activities including phone collections, field work, repossessions, and bankruptcy handling. Completed the hiring and training of all personnel within the branch.
