Dave is a partner practicing in labor and employment and civil defense litigation at Clausen Miller P.C. He represents private and public sector clients with respect to labor and personnel relations, collective bargaining, litigation of employment and civil rights cases, sexual harassment, employment contracts, employment terminations, covenants not to compete, and ADA matters. His civil defense practice focuses on toxic tort cases.Dave has been appointed Special Assistant Attorney General as well as Special Assistant State’s Attorney on labor litigation matters in multiple counties. Dave has decades of experience in construction and toxic tort litigation defense, such as asbestos and silica actions. He has represented clients in Federal and State courts, before the National Labor Relations Board, Illinois Human Rights Commission, and EEOC, and the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Elected and served two terms as Mayor of one of Illinois larger municipalities. Worked with local leaders on $700 million expansion of Advocate Christ Hospital. Led efforts on major business redevelopment project leading to hundreds of new jobs from new stores brought to the community. Initiated multiple new annual events for families, such as July 4 parade and Pumpkin Fest. Led community beautification and recycling developments. Placed public meetings on local television for easier access for residents.

Oak Lawn, Illinois

Led efforts with board members to construct new Stony Creek Golf Course, new Oak Lawn Ice Arena, create Wolfe -Wildlife natural wetlands and walking paths. Founded the Oak Lawn Park District theatre program and the Oak Lawn Broadway Jr. program, both honored nationally and by the State of Illinois.
