I am the President of General Indemnity Group, an insurance holding company that is a subsidiary of Boston Omaha (NYSE: BOC). General Indemnity owns and manages an A- rated insurance carrier, United Casualty & Surety (UCS), and a national surety-only agency, BOSS Bonds. I joined General Indemnity in 2018, following a period of rapid expansion marked by the acquisition of five entities. This expansion presented an opportunity to unify systems, procedures, and culture across the organization. Through strategic focus, data-driven decision-making, swift operational implementations, and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, my team and I have scaled the company into a profitable and thriving enterprise. Prior to leading General Indemnity Group, I founded and ran Anthros Consulting, a boutique firm that combined business strategy with systems implementations, data visualization, and analytics. Prior to Anthros, I worked at McKinsey & Company, where I specialized in operations, supply chain, and strategic turnarounds.I earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University. In addition to my technical expertise, I hold a certificate of Management for Scientists and Engineers from the Kellogg School of Management, as well as a Minor in Engineering Management from Cornell.One of my key strengths is the ability to find clarity amidst complexity. I can analyze and synthesize extensive data quickly, and I also possess a strong intuitive grasp of team dynamics and organizational culture. I thrive in dynamic, complex environments and am deeply energized by the continuous development of my team, myself, and the organization as a whole.
