I've recently moved full time into providing Mergers and Acquisitions services for IT (due diligence, post deal planning, strategic IT audits etc). This is fairly big change after 20 years of software development/consulting. But it was a natural step from my previous Solutions Architect role which in turn was a natural step from being a software/data developer where I covered the complete software lifecycle: analysis/design/build/test/support and specialsied in the Microsoft stack using SQL Server and C#.I still have my specific product expertise and qualifications in MS SQL Server (MCITP), .NET (MCTS), Business Intelligence (MS and Board), BizTalk (MCTS) and MS Dynamics CRM. But I'm now applying my wider business, IT, architecture and software skills to rapidly assessing businesses and producing actionalbe recommendations and risk analyses.
