I had several roles at JP Morgan.I started in the application test team writing automated front end test scripts for business systems using Test Director. I later wrote a table driven front end so that one easily maintainable Excel sheet could replace hundreds of individual test scripts.I then moved to the team responsible for writing and operating the fixed income (bonds) pricing system. This had two main components: - Import data from overnight feeds and update the reference database (Sybase SQL and Perl on unix) - Bond price publishing applications (C++ on Unix) which read from the above database, took live government bond futures feeds from the service bus (TibCo) and used in house developed analytic functions to calculate and then publish bond prices to the service bus (which then drove other chained bond price calculators)As well as developing and maintaining these systems I also regularly rotated in and out of the support team responsible for ensuring the prices were all being corrected generated before the start of business each day.
