Dave Hughes is an AVP Technical - Engineering at Avolon, a leading aircraft leasing company, where he works within the engineering team. He has a Master's of Science in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University, one of the world's top institutions for aerospace education and research.Dave has been with Avolon since August 2018, starting as a Technical Intern in the Asset Management team, where he gained experience in portfolio management, maintenance reserve claims, modification approvals, and inspection coordination. He then transferred to the Inactive Aircraft team in June 2020, where he managed Avolon's parked and stored fleet during the pandemic. In his current role, he is responsible for aircraft modification and customization, engineering technical support, transaction budgeting, CAMO, MRO and paint coordination, and AOG asset management. He has successfully delivered multiple projects involving large-scale aircraft transitions, reconfigurations, and re-deliveries, ensuring compliance, quality, and efficiency. He is skilled in data management, budgeting, teamwork, and has a strong passion for the aviation industry.
