Project consisted of first analyzing all the original 2D French drawings, converting them into a 3D model and sourcing system components in North America. This entailed converting steel specifications from French tables and metric dimensions to comparable American steel and Imperial dimensions. Project objective was to minimize all production and installation costs to facilitate US manufacture and venture capital funding. Latitude to modify costly components or those with excessive complexity was provided by management due to my strong working knowledge of 3D CAD technology and basic engineering principles. Worked closely with senior FCA executives. Obtained a 50% overall cost reduction against the installed price for the French unit as sold throughout Europe.

North America agent for MKG Cranes Garrel Germany www.mkg-usa.com. Introduced MKG Cranes manufactured in Garrel, Germany to the North American market. Developed sales patterns for MKG offerings in truck and vehicle recovery, building material handling and mobile batch concrete systems. MKG had never consistently participated in any of these markets prior to my efforts. They consisted of vocational marketing wherein I had direct control over advertising, trade shows and direct marketing. Until the global financial meltdown annual sales were at 20 units increasing and I had achieved a growth rate of 25% annually. As the resident manager I was also in charge of all international settlements including currency transactions, forwards and bookings, selection of shippers and communications between customers and factory personnel. Maintained detailed customer records of cranes purchased across type of crane, modifications made locally, installation date and warranty expiration date. Developed English language training manuals based upon EU standards necessary for compliance with the product liability vendor. Communications also involved primary engineering tasks that included 3D modelling to translate manufacturer's engineering specifications and primary designs from Metric to Imperial and prepare working drawings for dealers and installers. Sales budgets and cost analysis reporting was done on a quarterly basis with responsible parent company personnel in both English and German.

Developed European market for the world's largest towing and road service trade show by dramatically increasing European participation. American Towman Expositions and American Towman Magazine – currently produce three major trade shows annually. Successfully promoted American Towman expositions and magazine throughout Europe, developed U.S. relationships with international towing communities through targeted brand development, advertising sales initiatives and brand recognition. International marketing initiatives captured stronger presence of major European manufacturers at AT’s expositions. Efforts were primarily achieved through direct personal approach to key industry participants in England, France, Germany and Spain.Organized and presented the first world-wide, multi-lingual conference and meeting of towing professionals attended by over 60 professionals from North American and Europe and Japan. Conference was held in conjunction with the annual Baltimore American Towman exposition. Authored 13 technical articles for American Towman Magazine to increase brand awareness and market share.
