I was given the opportunity to form and lead the Cloud Centre of Excellence team within Inland Revenue (IR) who are responsible for the development and operation of IR's public cloud services. Leveraging a wonderfully diverse team of cloud specialists I am proactively driving change, enhancements and continuous improvements into IR's AWS and Oracle Cloud environments.I am passionate about evolving work practices as IR has moved towards more Agile ways of working that better incorporates the rapid pace of change that cloud presents.Responsibilities include:• Lead the day to day activities of the Cloud team, prioritising and providing technical leadership • Lead and manage key 3rd party relationships with Cloud service suppliers• Ensure alignment to security standards and best practices is part of all activities• Drive automation capability and efficiencies to continuously optimise operations• Manage roadmaps for Cloud services and toolsets ensuring that rapidly evolving enhancements are efficiently evaluated• Consult with key stakeholders and projects to recommend approaches and solutions and ensure full value for Cloud technologies• Build solid practices around managing Cloud costs and financials to ensure optimal and predictable expenditure that is highly visible.• Build relationships within internal groups as a trusted advisor around the adoption of Cloud services• Coach, mentor and development the members of the Cloud team
