Dave Jamieson is a retired elementary school teacher who lives near Orillia, Ontario.Dave played university hockey in Toronto, being named an all-star and winning a provincial championship in 1981-82. He represented Canada in 1982-83 as a member of our Olympic hockey team and played professionally in the United States and Europe.Dave spent three years as goalie coach of the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League, winning the Ontario championship and reaching the Memorial Cup final in 1999-2000. His protege, Brian Finley, was the first goaltender selected in the '99 NHL entry draft (sixth overall).Dave was goalie coach for seven seasons with Canada's National Women's Team, winning one World Championship (Halifax 2004) and three Olympic gold medals (Salt Lake 2002, Torino 2006, Vancouver 2010). He worked extensively with Kim St. Pierre, the first female goaltender to enter the Hockey Hall of Fame. Dave was inducted into the Lindsay and District Sports Hall of Fame in 2010.He spent two seasons as the goaltending coach of the Italian Men's National Team prepping for the 2026 Olympics in Milan/Cortina.
