David Anderson has over 20 years extensive experience in the financial services industry, working in roles across the front-office, middle-office and back-office. Through his roles and experience he has gained skills in proprietary trading; trade execution, trade processing and settlements; payments; risk management; exchange control; compliance and project management. His deep passion for understanding the nuances around investing, foreign exchange and the payments industry, combined with his hunger for knowledge and determination to turn information into action, has contributed to his successful career. In his most recent role as Managing Director of Mercury Global’s South African entity, David has been instrumental in growing the business 10 fold in revenues and trebling the number of staff under his management.David’s experience in a variety of roles, all within the industry, together with his exceptional organisational and analytical skills, extensive knowledge of the currency markets and trading, and his excellent communication skills, have equipped him with the perfect toolkit needed to succeed in his career.David considers himself a ‘forever student’, eager to build on his academic foundations. He is constantly conducting research on the financial markets, monitoring market activity, sentiment and trends and analysing his findings to better serve his clients. He spends his free time reading books and blogs focused on investing, financial independence and the markets.Having returned to the UK in 2020 with his wife and two young daughters, David is seeking to grow his network in the financial services space.
