Service and call out engineer primarily cinema but also photo and little bit of opthalmic

• Managing and participating in digital projector installations, refurbishments and upgrades across the UK alone and as part of a team• Maintaining AV equipment, both reactive and preventative maintenance carried out, responding to priority call outs across the UK• Installation and alignment of Dolby Atmos enabled superscreens• Running and providing support for event cinema, corporate hires, live satellite and other screen hires across the circuit• Experience operating and repairing Dolby, NEC, Barco Christie, Real D, Kramer, IPTV equipment as well as various different amplifier types and other AV equipment including JBL and QSC systems.• Investigating and solving problems, Integrating older automation systems with new equipment including Helvar, DMX and Lutron systems• Working with different external companies, communicating issues and faults to them and working with external engineers for solutions to problems• Satellite dish installation and setup, equipment installation including running cabling, soldering, crimping and patching cables to a high standard• Project management (including completion of the Prince 2 practitioner qualification), • A good understanding of network equipment and configuration such as managed switches, routers and server equipment, practical experience of their installation and setup as part of a structured network including trouble shooting issues, worked with equipment from different suppliers including Dlink, TP-link, Cisco, Draytek and Belkin• Managing and directing teams and training site managers as well as new engineers and a team of staff in former technician role• Carried out different innovation projects such as creating a network controlled PDU to switch amplifiers on with set intervals to prevent breaker switch activation also created both portable and wall mounted multi input AV units to assist sites with event hires.• Repairing faults with 35mm projectors and sound equipment replacing parts where necessary
