I began this company to help baseball players bring back life to their old glove.

I began coaching with CVYSA as Director of Goal Keeping in 2011 and was quickly asked to take on more teams because of my ability to interact with both players and their parents. In the fall of 2011, I enquired about the winter programs offered by the club, and when I found the existing programs to be unsatisfactory, I created a plan for winter training and presented it to the Board of Directors. From there the position of Director of Winter Training was created for me. My plan involved converting an unused church into a playing and practice field for youth, holding nightly skills sessions, weekend games, and team practices. Prior winter programs only involved league play with no skill sessions or team training. These programs would, at best, break even every year. My training program was the first ever to earn profits. Even considering construction materials, coaching salaries, and rent, the club made just over a $7,000 profit during those five months.

• Sold and delivered Schwan’s food products door to door• Assisted customers with questions, concerns, and issue resolution• Created new routes and scouted new customers for other Schwan’s representatives• Trained and monitored representatives and their routes, sales, and product inventory

I was brought into Soccer Connections as a cashier at the Cedar Rapids location in 1997. Three weeks into my tenure, I was asked open and manage a new store in Waterloo. My pre-opening responsibilities including scouting locations between Waterloo and Cedar Falls and making connections within the community to let people know we were coming. Once the store opened I became the community sales rep as well as the store manager. I met with schools, community directors, and the major soccer clubs of the area to create relationships between the organizations and the store. These relationships led to a $1.2 million dollar deal between Cedar Valley Youth Soccer Association and Soccer Connections in the purchase of goals and other equipment to outfit their new complex. During this time, I maintained inventory, staff, schedules, and the store budget.
