Before joining Orbital Engineering, Inc., Dave retired from FirstEnergy in 2022 as the Vice President, Distribution Support, where he provided leadership and support of Distribution Operations, Outage Management, Smart Grid, ADMS implementation and operations, Smart Meter, Work Management, Emergency Preparedness, Workforce Development, Vegetation Management, Engineering Services, Joint Use, Material & Construction Standards, Distribution Planning & Protection, Performance & Process Improvement, Fleet Services, Meter Services, and Rubber Goods Testing to all of the FirstEnergy Utilities.Dave started his almost 42-year utility career in 1981 when he joined the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company in the Production Engineering department and held various positions including representing the energy delivery group on the FirstEnergy merger team before being promoted to Overhead Line supervisor in 1997. In 1999, he was promoted to manager, Underground Services, and in 2001 promoted to director, Operations Services at Jersey Central Power & Light. In 2005, he was named director, Energy Delivery Performance & Process Improvement for FirstEnergy, and in 2008 led a company-wide work management improvement program. Dave was promoted to president at Met-Ed in 2011, named president, Ohio Edison & Penn Power in 2012, promoted to the position of Pennsylvania State President in 2013, then in 2015 was promoted to the position of VP, Distribution Support.
