A vastly different role to any previous experience, it took significant adaptability and initiative to be successful.Acted as liaison between Customer (frontline units), Delivery Partner (major defence company) and specialist Consultants to ensure suitability, availability and sustainability of applications in the portfolio. Improved governance and by driving the revision and implementation of policy that was no longer fit for purpose.To boost productivity and project outcomes, led the development and publication of a set of Working Instructions to up-skill current and new staff.Applied Project Management principles to bring all Applications in my portfolio into full compliance for the first time in 3 years, subsequently putting Through Life Management plans in place to sustain the applications after my tenure.Chaired the newly created Staff Involvement Forum, leading a group of Civil Service Personnel striving for improvements in their working lives. Successes included revised training for line managers and enhanced reward and recognition schemes.To help the organisation fulfil its Public Sector Equality Duty, volunteered to train as an Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Adviser.
