Senior Consultant EngineerFuture Facilities Ltd Oct 2012 - Jun 2016Over the past 9 years at Future Facilities as both Consultant and Senior Consultant my role has covered a wide range of activities. My main focus has been on providing simulation consultancy services to data center designers and operators using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). I have been a consultant on new build projects, energy efficiency, re-fit and consolidation projects as well as spending some time helping our clients use simulation as part of day to day operations. Future Facilities is a software vendor and I contribute to the software design. This allows the experience gained through the consultancy work to be incorporated into the software. The aim is to ensure that we are able to provide a tool that is focused on addressing the needs of both other consultants and data center operators. Simulation is still relatively new to the data center market and we strive to educate data center professionals of its benefits. As part of this effort I have written papers, presented at conferences and provide training that covers both software use and the correct methodology for simulating data center performance.
