Managed the layout, capitalization, and start-up of new 16,000 SF assembly shop in 1999, and additional 20,000 SF assembly shop in 2003 to meet company growth initiatives. Developed the company’s in-house machining capability and productivity by the implementation of CNC machining centers, lathes and mills. Responsible for the layout and construction of quality control inspection room, production cutoff saw department, and part bench area. Hiring and training of machine shop personnel, schedule production requirements, oversee quality control, and work closely with outside suppliers and customers. Responsible for machine shop personnel and operations meeting budget and delivery requirements. Responsible for the layout, capitalization, and operation of new 16,000 SF machining facility to meet increased demands based on company growth. Improvements in machining productivity contributed to sales growth from $3 million to $10 million.
