As senior analyst it is my role to assess, analyse and scrutinize several sources of data including Ultrasonic Bscan and ACFM to build a report for several different networks helping to identify defects, monitor the growth of existing defects and give a thorough detailed condition of running rails. I have helped to build and improve on a data analytical system to improve the information we can provide on a run on run basis.I have built up experience in the design and implementation of new technology including following a detailed array of requirements to pass product acceptance. I have worked alongside product designers and manufacturers to build and alter prototype equipment thus gaining an understanding of material properties and suitabilities to arrive at a finished model. This has included many hours of design, testing and re designing to meet industry, client and ergonomic needs.

Undertake A/Bscan ultrasonic techniques to test and monitor defects on/in the rail. Working to a set of standards to ensure defects are found and correctly actioned in order for safe passenger traffic to flow to schedule. Using rail crack measuring equipment to ensure rail integrity.

Undertaking various NDT techniques to detect, action and report defects within the rail to a set of standards. Working on several networks nationally and internationally. Working alongside staff from various departments and companies to ensure that integrity of the rail is maintained and understanding of findings is confirmed.
