Performed ongoing maintenance and development of multiple mainframe and web-based applications in the Member Provider Management Department, directly related to Members, Providers, and Claims. Provide on-call support to keep all applications running with minimal, if any unscheduled outages, and supply technical application knowledge in a variety of ongoing projects.• Primary owner and subject matter expert (SME) for the Provider-based BlueCard PDF batch application, for BCBSA’s National Doctor and Hospital Finder. Keeping this application in compliance with ongoing BCBSA mandates ensures BlueCard members can find a Provider when out of area. Software used is COBOL, IMS, DB2, JCL, FTP, NDM, and Easytrieve. • Support Healthy Lifestyles Application, utilizing both web-based and batch development. Work with business clients to resolve member enrollment and reimbursement issues, resulting in an improved customer experience, provide internal financial reports and various maintenance updates. Technology consists of Java, HTML, Oracle, and DB2. Development tool is Rational Application Developer (RAD).• Developed and supported a web-based pre-claims adjudication application. Technology consisted of Java, HTML, and Oracle, utilizing Websphere Studio Application Developer (WSAD).• Developed and supported a web-based National Provider Identifier (NPI) Reporting application, with mainframe backend database batch processing. Technology consisted of WebFocus, COBOL, DB2, and JCL.• Initially hired as a Senior Systems Analyst, promoted in 2008 as a Senior Tech Support Analyst.
