An engineering manager & entrepreneur with a huge interest in the ever-changing world and how it's affecting the web. Alongside this, as a full stack engineer, I have a broad range of skills including architecture, system administration, efficient problem solving, database architecture, dev ops, extension development & documentation. A strong communicator with an ability to communicate effectively with all roles within an organisation. During my career I've built the official Braintree extension for Magento 1 (with the first Apple Pay extension on Magento!), alongside this, I was the lead developer & product owner on the BlueFootCMS product that was later acquired by Magento. This is alongside numerous bespoke Magento e-commerce website builds including solutions for their various business problems through extension creation. While completing this I also maintained their infrastructure and monitored and improved application performance. As part of the BlueFootCMS acquisition, I joined the Magento team to implement the extension into their core product as their new Page Builder solution. I lead a large engineering team aligning our vision with the core business and ensuring a quality timely delivery of our project.After leading Page Builder to success I took the position of Engineering Manager for PWA Studio to help further accelerate an already great project and support an amazing team of engineers. After taking this position I also regained management of Page Builder for a period of time while it transitioned to a new team. Since then I've doubled the size of my team and promoted ICs to managers reporting to me, resulting in me getting promoted to a Sr. Engineering Manager in a year.I believe in managing with empathy, kindness, care and logic.
