Responsible for planning and organising the equipment mobilisation and demobilisation for land seismic operations in East Africa, I manage the successful movement via air, sea and land across multiple borders. I manage import and export requirements and ensure all equipment arrives on time to enable recording operations to commence on schedule. I currently support the crew operations from Kampala, Uganda, which helps the crew to operate in a very remote part of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).• Improved reporting structure through combining multiple documents required for mobilising seismic crew into the DRC, into one document.• Identified as highly experienced in the seismic industry by the MD and tasked to improve seismic crew mobilisation activity and procurement process.

Bucharest, Romania

I was recruited by the new CEO and VP for International Operations to develop and expand the seismic survey division from Romania into the international market. I successfully planned and led multiple international mobilisations of seismic crews in Portugal, Morocco, Albania and Tajikistan, and identified opportunities across Africa & Asia.• Mobilised 3D seismic crew to Portugal where 3 x 3D (700km2 in total) surveys were completed. • Purchased 5,000 channels of Sercel Unite recording system from the USA, the first full 3D spread with Unite deployed in Europe.• Mobilised crew into Morocco, with equipment sourced from three different continents.• Led complex mobilisation of a 2D seismic crew to Tajikistan, a landlocked nation with hostile neighbours. Mobilised equipment by aircraft charter and successfully conducted 500 linear km survey.• Mobilised an 8,000 channel 3D crew into Albania, the first 3D undertaken in the country.

North Africa

I was responsible for planning and executing multiple mobilisations and demobilisations of large 3D seismic survey crews in remote desert locations in North Africa. I produced mobilisation and production Gantt charts with detailed budgetary requirements for all PGS EAME tenders and managed import/export requirements for a wide range of seismic survey equipment.• Demobilised crew from the remote Baguel prospect area in the Sahara Desert ahead of schedule and within budget. • Established a large seismic crew support facility in Sfax, Tunisia.• Redesigned and built complete new Main Electrical Distribution System for crew trailer camp.• Instrumental in introducing the VDO IVMS into the Seismic industry, after fitting all company vehicles in Tunisia and Morocco with VDO FM200+ or FM300 IVMS systems.

Nigeria

Reporting directly to the MD, I worked closely with the Party Chief, Assistant Party Chief and Section Heads to support crew operations in Nigeria. I scouted new prospect areas, identified types of terrain, road and river networks, major logistical obstacles, and evaluated health, safety and environmental risks.

Nigeria

I managed daily operations of the ALG, which was responsible for ensuring sufficient infrastructure, survey lead and drilling lead was in place to allow recording operations to continue without interruption between prospect moves. Part of my role involved maintaining and repairing a large inland marine fleet including houseboats, tug boats, aluminium deployment boats and seismic air gun boats.
