Best Buy restructured many times during this period resulting in a gap of continued employment I returned twice. Last market was as GM of Mobile, alabama.

Started Single 'A' professional hockey league in Florida with partners in Lakeland, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, St Petersburg and West Palm Beach.League merged with Southern Hockey league in 1995 and continues to this day as the SPHL in other markets throughout the southeast. Ownership group then launched El Paso Buzzards of the WPHL, later the CHL, where I was the initial VP of Operations and GM. Founder of the Mobile Mysticks ECHL Learn to Skate and junior Mysticks program and Advisory Board Member of the Florida ICE Sports Foundation.

Joined Circuit City in Atlanta after a brief professional hockey career in Europe. Moved into store management within a year and was one of the first 'external' hires to attend and graduate from the company's first ever Management Advancement Program. Opened 5 new stores throughout the southeast during my time there and loved every minute of it. Fun place, fun people and a great time to be with them. Special thanks to Don Marshal, Eddie Derham, Joe Adamski, Jeff Stayner , Mike Hourihan, Cindy Batey and Mr. G for the unbelievable mentorship and guidance.... no wonder they wrote a book about us... ... thank you! I left to return to pro hockey in Europe and coach at the Winter Olympics in France. Returned to the states 5 years later and joined the new kid on the block, Best Buy, who had taken over the lead role in that industry.
