I am absolutely focused, totally immersed, and have spent my entire 30 year career in improving the lives, health and well being of all workers, with even more attention paid to those that must spend long hours each day interfacing with technology. One of the key reasons this is such a driving force for me is that virtually everyone that I am closely connected to (family, friends, co-workers, and admittedly I must include myself in this category) are all intensive information and technology workers that spend long hours in front of various types of screens and assuming all sorts of unnatural postures in the process. The dangers of this type of work are well documented and becoming more so each day it seems, but as of yet in my opinion, not very well understood. Solutions to these complex problems exist; however how do you solve a problem as a company or an individual worker when you haven't even fully defined what the problem entails. I find that the most important aspect of my life's work is sharing information and making people aware of the small changes that can be made that can have dramatic health and wellness implications. A side benefit of these changes both for the worker and for the employer is that productivity is almost always impacted positively in the process, and in many cases, massively so. The company I head up and helped create all the way back in 1989, Ergonomic Accessories Inc., is kind of like an ergonomic laboratory. We do so many "custom" jobs to suit unique working situations and varied individual proportions that we don't think of them as custom jobs at all anymore.   I have been President of Ergonomic Accessories Inc. (EA) since 1995, six years after it's inception in 1989. Over that time I have overseen tremendous growth both in our company but also in the world of ergonomics. EA has always been 100% focused on products that improve worker health and safety, enhance productivity and in general make for sound business investments. In my role I oversee all aspects of our operation including manufacturing, finished goods distribution and sales and marketing to name but a few of the key areas. We pride ourselves on being a problem-solving, and solutions-driven company and welcome the most challenging of workplace issues. We are very well set up to handle customs and one-off requirements due to the fact that we manufacture a large portion of the products that we sell, not to mention our nearly 25 years of experience in this specialized field.
