Throughout my time in Fota I have undertaken a number of various roles.I was part of the team that was responsible for creating brand awareness for the recent Fota "Believe" experience that was run over the Christmas period. With this project I went and visited the major media outlets throughout Cork City and County. Here I met with Radio presenters/DJ's and leading Cork Newspaper journalists in an effort to generate brand awareness for the Christmas experience. I have also been involved in the marketing of Fota Island Resort to a large number of Golf Clubs in the Co. Cork region.I was the training and sports facilities coordinator of the resort for the summer of 2012.In this role I was responsible for negotiating with and working alongside professional football clubs from Ireland and England, Inter County Gaa teams, Rabo Direct PRO12 Rugby teams and their representatives for training and recreation on behalf of the resort. My everyday duties as hotel concierge would include, meeting and greeting guests, collecting and driving guests to and from the resort, carrying out hotel event show arounds. I am also responsible for resolving guest room issues as well as assisting guests with various bookings.
