With over 30 years experience in Mechanical and Electrical Surveying (in increasingly senior roles) Dave has a proven track record and extensive knowledge of contract negotiation, managing risk, adding value and dispute resolution.Dave has worked on prestige projects including the Trafford Centre and Manchester Joint Hospitals and has negotiated contracts across diverse procurement routes such as PFI, Prime Contracting, Procure 21, NEC target cost projects and traditional JCT D&B contracts.One of Dave’s key strengths is dispute resolution. Dave has successfully represented his employers in numerous adjudications but in many instances Dave has used his background knowledge and ability to analyse and summarise the key matters in contention to facilitate a settlement before excessive legal costs are incurred.Over the last ten years Dave has headed up commercial teams of more than 20 surveyors with responsibility for annual sales in excess of £100m. His role includes internal coaching and training to promote staff development and to ensure the commercial team are continuously managing risks and adding value to projects.Whilst working full time, Dave has attained some impressive academic achievements including a law degree and Fellowship of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). More recently Dave successfully completed the RICS Diploma in Adjudication which has been invaluable in his day to day role.
