They moved to Colorado Springs in 2009 to lead the Navigators Military Ministry overseeing over 400 staff who served on 112 military installations around the world. In August 2015, he began his role on leadership team the Navigator Community Ministry (Nav Neighbors) and as a facilitator of the Navigator Missions strategic think tank.

He commanded at the Company, Battalion, and Brigade levels and deployed in 2008 to Kuwait and Afghanistan as the Deputy Director of the US Central Command (USCENTCOM) Logistics Operations Center. His last duty was as a faculty member at the Center of Strategic Leadership in the US Army War College. Dave is Ranger, Airborne, and Air Assault qualified.
